Refrain from Over SEO Optimization

Too much of anything is never good. Even in search engine optimization there must be a balance in the optimization of each page. Too much ‘optimization’ might not be healthy as well. Most often than not, search engines will ignore the pages with too much of this optimization and in result, the webmaster will lose a lot of potential coverage from search engines as well.

Sometimes, publishers who have just learned the value of keywords and long tail keywords tend to place a lot of junk at the bottom of the screen. This junk can be a 20 line paragraph filled with keywords. Not only will it be a pain in the eye for the readers but search engines may think of it as spamming. Nowadays, keywords stuffing aren’t working anymore for Google and sometimes, websites get penalized because of this as well so steer clear from doing so.

Some pages also have titles that resembles between one and another. These pages have the potential to be flagged as duplicates in both contents and keywords. Instead, try to rephrase as best as possible so that the content would be unique.

If a site has a lot of writers, tell them only a bit about SEO optimization and let the publishers handle all the SEO working. Due to them being novices, they may do over optimization unintentionally and as the result, it will give them a lot of pressure in the process of correcting these issues as well.
